Gluten-Free Hamotzi Challah
Chef Chaya’s Gluten-Free Challah is made from Gluten Free Oat Flour, all gluten-free ingredients and all kosher ingredients. This is a traditional style Challah Bread, sweet, soft and delicious. If you are using it for Shabbat, Oat is one of the 7 grains that is permissible for the Hamotzi Blessing. Chef Chaya prepares this Challah according to the traditional Laws of Baking Challah and she says the specified blessing for making the bread kosher. This is the same bread that Chef Chaya makes for her own family to enjoy for Shabbat.
*Even though there are 2 Challahs in the picture, an order is for 1 Challah.
Chef Chaya’s Macadamia Ricotta is a dairy free cheesy spread. It’s light, creamy texture and flavor is a sense pleasure with just the right amount of pop and spreadability. Although this “Ricotta” is perfect with fresh vegetable crudite, atop your favorite cracker or bread, wrapped in a collard leaf or nori wrap, tossed with zucchini noodles, used for a dairy free pizza cheese alternative, the folks here at Living Vision Foods find it hard not to just spoon it right out of the jar (our guess is you will too!).
*Served in a 4 oz. vegetable based biodegradable souffle cup.
Sprouted Buckwheat Crackers
These crisp, savory and herbaceous crackers are raw, gluten free and sturdy enough to hold plentiful layers of spreads and toppings. They are an excellent replacement for traditional crackers, or flat breads. We love piling them high with toppings and eating them like a pizza. Some favorite combinations include; sun dried tomato sauce covered with a layer of our Macadamia Ricotta and piled high with diced tomatoes, olives, mushrooms, and zucchini noodles. Another favorite is a layer of fresh guacamole, topped with sliced tomatoes, pan fried shiitake (or other) mushrooms, thin sliced red onions, a drizzle of some cashew cream and finished with some sprouts (see gallery image for a depiction of this one). Finally, The Sprouted Buckwheat Crackers are a perfect match for Chaya’s Sprouted Sunflower Hummus, either by itself or topped with a traditional “Israeli Salad” of diced tomatoes and cucumbers.
* 4 large crackers per serving.
Sprouted Sunflower Hummus (Bean Free)
Chaya’s “Sprouted Sunflower Hummus” is a bean free and nut free hummus that we believe is better than any traditional hummus we have tasted. Using all fresh and organic ingredients (no preservatives or rancid oils) Chaya whips up a smooth and creamy hummus with mouth watering flavors that marry perfectly with your favorite toast, crackers, vegetable crudite, right on top of your salad – we love it with just about everything savory!
Chaya’s Sprouted Sunflower Hummus is served in an 8 oz. plant derived – biodegradable deli container and will last a minimum of 7 days refrigerated.
